ZIC Introduction

Established in July 1993, Zhuhai International Circuit quickly became a cornerstone of China’s motorsport. It hosted a three-year city street race and commenced the construction of the circuit, setting a remarkable milestone for motorsport events in China. ZIC has since earned the reputation as the "cradle" and "Whangpoa Military Academy" of Chinese racing.

In November 1996, the Zhuhai International Circuit officially opened as the first permanent racing circuit in China to achieve dual homologation from the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). This accreditation positioned ZIC as a premier destination for both automobile and motorcycle racing on an international scale.

Zhuhai International Circuit is a 4.3-kilometer racetrack running clockwise with a total of 14 turns, including 4 left turns and 10 right turns. The track was initially designed for the FIA Formula One World Championship and the FIM MotoGP World Championship, its high-speed final turn allows race cars to reach a top speed of nearly 300 kilometers per hour on the 900-meter-long straight track. The track averages 12 meters in width, expanding to 14 meters on the straight, making it a challenging track.

Since its completion in 1996, Zhuhai International Circuit has been the preferred venue for both domestic and international events, including the FIA GT Championship, A1 Grand Prix, the Endurance World Championship (6 Hours), the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, the Asia Road Racing Championship, the Asian Le Mans Series, and many others.

Over the years, ZIC has also hosted numerous domestic race events such as the China Touring Car Championship (CTCC), China GT Championship, China Endurance Championship (CEC), the FIA F4 Chinese Championship, the Porsche Carrera Cup, the Audi R8 LMB Cup, and more.

Additionally, Zhuhai International Circuit has created several local event IPs that are well-known in the industry, including the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival, Circuit Hero touring car series, Speed Hero motorcycle race series, Zhuhai Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Association races, Circuit Hero fastest lap events and more. Since 2020, ZIC has also launched track experience programme for fans.

In 2023, Zhuhai International Circuit thoroughly studied recent development patterns and market trends in motorsports. As a result, the remarkable race event IP - Pan Delta Super Racing Festival was upgraded and a brand-new sports IP – Festival of Wheels was launched. Festival of Wheels breaks the traditional zoning of spectators and drivers by using club races as the driving element of the event and integrating various displays and leisure entertainment activities. This event provides a better platform for spectators, brands and businesses, offering superior experience and more business opportunities through diverse activities.
