2012 ZIC Motorcycle Sporting Regulations Appendix B
Eligible Competitors
1. Eligible Competitors
1.1 Entrants are required to hold a valid license as specified in Art. 6 of the Sporting Regulation.
1.2 Riders are required to hold a valid license, as specified in Art. 6 of the Sporting Regulation, and are physically fit.
1.3 The Race Committee reserves the right to accept or reject, at their sole discretion, any entrant and/or rider without assigning a reason.
1.4 Riders from China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taipei are defined as National riders in these regulations.
2. Nomination of Riders
2.1 The maximum number of riders that can be nominated to drive is one in a race. For endurance event the maximum is three.
2.2 The name of the rider shall be stated on the official entry form when the entry is submitted.
2.3 The only subsequent change of rider shall be under Art. 12.6 and 12.7 of the Sporting Regulation.
3. Qualified Starters
3.1 All riders, in order to qualify as starters in any race, must have practiced during at least one official practice period and have completed one timed lap.
3.2 The maximum qualification times for all races in the meeting shall be calculated on the basis of 130% of the average of the best three practice times of the same class. Qualification must be done on the bike to be ridden in the race.
3.3 The Clerk of the Course in his sole discretion may propose to the Stewards of the Meeting that a rider who has not so qualified to be allowed to take part in a race. The decision of the Stewards has no appeal.
4. Grids.
Grids shall be determined on times achieved in official timed practice sessions, the fastest competitor taking pole. There shall be no choice of position. For endurance races with more than one rider per entry, all enter rider must participate in the qualify session. The grid position will be determined by the fastest time achieved among the riders within the same entry.
