2012 ZIC Motorbike Championship Supplementary Regulation

1. PROMOTER

Zhuhai International Circuit.

2. TITLE

2012 ZIC Motorbike Championship.

3. ORGANIZER

Zhuhai Motorsports Association

4. ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS AND DRIVERS

  • Entrant - any appropriately licensed incorporated body or individual may enter, subject to rider and bike eligibility.
  • Rider - all riders holding valid competition license with a current medical certificate issued by the sporting authority from Country concerned.

5. ELIGIBLE MOTORCYLES AND CLASSES

5.1 The races are open to motorcycles defined in the technical regulations.

5.2 Classes:

Super Challenge bike Class I Production four stroke from 751cc up to 1500cc
    250 cc production racer.
  Class II Production four stroke up to 750cc and 250cc
    Production road bike.
  Class III Super Sport 600cc

6. TYPE OF MEETING

National Motor Cycle race meeting (Sprint /Endurance) held under the National Competition Rules of China together with these Regulations and any bulletins, supplementary regulations and/or final instructions issued by the Race Committee. The distance for the races from start to checker flag including the formation lap shall be 50 km maximum. For Endurance races it will be a minimum one hour race and a maximum of six hours race.

7. DESCRIPTION OF COMPETITIONS.

7.1 Motorcycle Sprint Race with 50 km maximum.

8. AWARDS

8.1 Trophies will be presented to the top three finishers of each class.

8.2 The following points will be allocated to the top 15 placed drivers after each race.

1st:  25 points 2nd:  20 points  3rd:  16 points  4th:  13 points 5th:  11 points
6th:     10 points 7th:    9 points 8th:      8 points 9th:    7 points  10th:  6 points
11th:  5 points  12 th:  4 points  13th:  3 points  14th:  2 points 15th:  1 points 

8.3 All the score from each round will count for the championship.

8.4 In the event of a tie between two or more competitors for the Championship, Sporting Regulation Art. 10.4 will apply.

8.5 Awards for the Championship

8.5.1 Trophies shall be awarded for the first 3 riders within each class after the finish of the series.

9. ENTRIES

9.1 Entry must be submitted seven days before the event. Two photographs drive and each of the four crew members must be attached to each entry form.

9.2 Entry fee is non-refundable (as per Art 13 of the Sporting Regulation) and it will be under three categories:

Super Bike Race    RMB1,600

9.3 Hong Kong/Macau entries requiring shipping of bike should contact ZIC for shipping arrangement. Any entry wanting to ship extra item must contact ZIC for special arrangement and cost. Local Chinese driver will be responsible for transportation of their machinery to and from the circuit.

10. RACE ORGANIZATION.

The races, which count for the 2011 series, will be organized in accordance with the followings:

  • The Zhuhai International Circuit Motorcycle Sporting Regulation2011
  • The Technical regulations governing the 2011 race series
  • Any additional supplementary regulation issued by the organizer.
  • The specific regulations concerning motor racing circuits as issued by the organizing country.
  • The FIM International Sporting Code. 

11. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RACES.

The events that count for the series will normally consist of the following:

  • Minimum one race with a maximum distance of 50 km.
  • One official practice sessions with a maximum of 30 minutes each.
  • Two qualifying session with maximum of 20 minutes, result will be the grid position for the race. For two races event, result of first race will form the grid position for the second race.
  • Race start will be a standing start.

12. ADVERTISING ON VEHICLES

Advertising must comply with the FIM International Sporting Code and with any laws that apply in the country.

12.1 All bikes will be required to carry Organizer's advertising, 100 sq. cm on both sides of the bike.
All bikes participating in official qualifying sessions and races must display official advertising as specified by the Promoter; any bike not complying with these requirements may be prevented from participating in the event in question or may be excluded from the official results.

Advertising on the bikes in the spaces reserved for the rider is unrestricted provided that such advertising does not relate to products competing with those as specified by Organizer. It is strongly advice that Promoter is consulted before any arrangement of personal sponsorship is finalized.

12.2 Advertising is permitted, provided that, in the opinion of the Chief Scrutineer, it does not impair the legibility of competition numbers or the safety of the bike, or is not in bad taste. The Chief Scrutineer may refuse to pass a bike until any offending advertisement is removed or obliterated.

12.3 All advertisements must be in position before scrutineering.

12.4 Organizer will provide competitors with badges that must be sewn onto rider,s overalls in accordance with the guidelines relating to advertising guidelines attached.

12.5 Organizer reserves the right to make use any image, picture and results achieved by entrants and drivers in this series for commercial purposes without the need to obtain their permission to do so or pay them any special fees.
