14 Sep 2019 Highly competitive and margins are tiny; Lin Ju-Pei/Tam Ho-Yin won pole position

On 14 September, Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Autumn Race begins officially at Zhuhai International Circuit. Circuit Hero-Three welcomes its second qualifying session. After a heated battle, #32 Lin Ju-Pei/Tam Ho-Yin pairing takes pole position in second qualifying by 0.189 second. After combining the results of the two sessions, Lin Ju-Pei/Tam Ho-Yin pairing successfully secures pole position for the main race tomorrow.

In the first qualifying session yesterday, the top five driver pairings all got down to 2 minutes 1 second. Penrite TPR Racing #22 Wu Wen-Fa/Zhang Xian-Shang pairing set a 1:59.487 fastest lap to take pole position. Behind them are #77 Ryan Kuang/Zhong Wen-Chao pairing managed a 1:59.940 to take second place with #32 Lin Ju-Pei/Tam Ho-Yin in third place.

Second qualifying begins today at 16:15. With the first lap barely over, #28 and #16 collide at turn 9, with the accident to be investigated upon by the race officials. But this does not affect the session. Not long later #76 pairing exceeds the track limits at turn 4 and its lap 2 result is cancelled. #66 pairing and #22 pairing also suffer the same fate at turn 4 and their lap 3 results are similarly cancelled.

Midway through the session, 3 pairings have got down to below 2 minutes, it seems today the track is quicker than in the first qualifying session. #32 Lin Ju-Pei/Tam Ho-Yin even sets a 1:58.966 fastest lap. Penrite TPR Racing #22 Wu Wen-Fa/Zhang Xian-Shang are closely behind with a 1:59.155 fastest lap.

In the end, #32 Lin Ju-Pei/Tam Ho-Yin takes pole position for tomorrow’s main race. Penrite TPR Racing #22 Wu Wen-Fa/Zhang Xian-Shang will start alongside them on the front row. #28 Zhou Bo-Long/Sun Jun-Long pairing, #77 Ryan Kuang/Zhong Wen-Chao pairing, #3 He Wei-Hang/Billy Tsang pairing are 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.

At the moment in the Circuit Hero-Three points table, the top 3 are really close to each other, the destination of the title will be revealed in the main race tomorrow morning.
