17 Mar 2018 Circuit Hero-Two qualifying: Go Kart Racing Wang Yuan takes pole after close fight

Circuit Hero-Two has always been the main battle field for modification and tuning shops. The race is a major focus of the Circuit Hero race series. In the new season, with further adjustment on the regulations, more new blood have join the race series and a total of 32 cars are in the race.

For tuning shops, standing on the podium is undoubtedly a very positive advertisement. The addition of new teams enhanced the competitiveness of Pan Delta.

A1 class qualifying begins at 16:45, 13 Racing-Gaoge Racing #27 Gao Ying-Zhe takes provisional pole position with a 1:52.881 with his first timed lap.

With the progression of the qualifying session, the drivers and race cars begin to get on form. The order kept changing. Gao Ying-Zhe's 13 Racing-Gaoge Racing teammate #15 Shi Wu-Zhen managed a 1:50.467 fastest lap on lap 4. #99 He Shi-Le was second with 1:50.864, #78 Zhong Yong-Qiang was third with 1:51.069 and Gao Ying-Zhe was 0.1 second adrift in fourth place.

In the end, Go Kart Racing #30 Wang Yuan took pole position with 1:50.143. 13 Racing-Gaoge Racing #15 Shi Wu-Zhen will start in second position after losing out by a small margin.

A2 and A3 class qualifying is held immediately afterwards. After the first timed lap, #16 Gary Sham managed a 1:55.180 lap and he then further improved to 1:53.199. Jack's Racing #17 Zhong De-Hao and Go Kart Racing #33 Qiu Kai-Wen were second and third provisionally.

At the half way mark, #69 Yang Xie took to the top of A2 class with a 1:51.112. #16 Gary Sham was down to second place in A2 class. Winson Racing #44 Chen Jia-Ping rose to third place in A2 class. #11 Tommy Chan was fastest in A3 class.

In the last few minutes, the top drivers all return to the pits and till the end of the session the order did not see much changes.

One thing worth noticing is that since the adoption of one make Pirelli tyres, the gap among Circuit Hero-Two drivers are very close. The top 7 drivers in A1 class are separated by just 1.5 seconds. Tomorrow's race is looking like a very close fight.
