On September 4th, the 2022 Zhuhai Motorsports Association Club Race ushered in the main race of Circuit Hero – Three. The "Fresh Blood" drivers performed outstandingly and competed at their best. In the end, Zhou Qi-Jun, the No. 1 car from the Trumpchi Falcon Racing Training Academy, won the race.
The Circuit Hero – Three race officially started at 14:15, with a total of 8 laps and 25 drivers participating. The lights went out to signal the start, No. 1 Zhou Qi-Jun successfully held the first position, No. 2 Wu Zuo-Dong overtook No. 18 Zhu Hai-Qiang and rose to second place.
On the second lap, No. 27 Liang Xue-Bin has risen to the third position. The No. 18 car returned to the pit lane area due to a mechanical failure and unfortunately retired from the race. At this time, Zhou Qi-Jun, the No. 1 car in the field, has opened up a nearly 3.5-second advantage and recorded a fastest lap time of 2:08.960.
Halfway through the race, the No. 3 car returned to the pits due to a mechanical breakdown. At this time, the top three are No. 1 Zhou Qi-Jun, No. 2 Wu Zuo-Dong, and No. 5 He Zhen-Dong. He Zhen-Dong chased all the way, came to the third position from the back of the field, and continued to attack second placed driver Wu Zuo-Dong.
In the last two laps, the No. 31 car unfortunately retired due to a mechanical issue, and the No. 5 car also returned to the pit lane due to a mechanical issue, withdrawing from the competition for the podium places. At this time, No. 10 Li Jun-Wen has chased from the back of the field to third position, and set the fastest lap of the race, 2:07.304. At the same time, he attacked the second place driver. Then he successfully overtook No. 2 Wu Zuo-Dong at the T6 corner and rose to second place. On the last lap, the drivers on the field successfully crossed the line. The top three were No. 1 Zhou Qi-Jun, No. 10 Li Jun-Wen, and No. 2 Wu Zuo-Dong.
In terms of groups, the top three in Group A1 are No. 1 Zhou Qi-Jun, No. 10 Li Jun-Wen and No. 2 Wu Zuo-Dong from Trumpchi Falcon Racing Training Academy Team; the top three in A2 Group are No. 23 Huang Zheng-Tao and No. 23 from Lifeng Racing Team. After the race, overall champion No. 1 driver Zhou Qi-Jun said, "I led from the first lap to the end of the race. Overall, I adopted a conservative tire protection strategy. It was also my first time to participate in the Club Race. It was exhilarating and exciting, I was lucky that I was able to win the race first time out."
No. 10 Li Jun-Wen, who finished second, said, "Because of a problem with the race car in qualifying, I had to start the main race from the back of the field, and I chased all the way to the second place. I was fighting the whole race, and achieved my own rhythm, I hope to win the race next time.”
No. 2 Wu Zuo-Dong, who finished in third place, said, "I just got my racing license at the end of last month. This is the first official race I have participated in.
